Conditions<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Battu Bris\u00e9 Dance <\/strong>Studio<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\">Participation in festivals, competitions, showcases, examinations and year-end concerts is optional, but once committed, participation becomes subject to the following terms and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\">By submitting the Festival \/ Competition Entry Form, the parent\/guardian (or adult student) acknowledges and agrees to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-6 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>1. <strong><em>Participation Commitment<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All students are required to complete the official Entry Commitment Form to confirm whether they will or will not be participating in concerts, showcases, competitions, festivals and examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submission of the form and digital signature confirms full understanding and acceptance of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>participation expectations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rehearsal commitments,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>attendance requirements,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>financial obligations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and all terms outlined below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Failure to submit the form by the stated deadline may result in automatic exclusion from participation.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-7 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>2. <em><strong>Entry Fees<\/strong><\/em><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All examination, festival and competition entry fees must be paid <strong>in full and upfront<\/strong> by the stated due date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No entry fee paid = no entry submitted = no participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Battu Bris\u00e9 will not submit any entries, reserve places, or confirm participation without full payment being received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All entry fees are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>non-refundable,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>non-transferable,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and may not be credited toward tuition or any other studio fees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8 wp-block-paragraph\">This includes withdrawals due to illness, injury, scheduling conflicts, or personal circumstances after entry submission.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-9 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>3. <strong><em>Costume Hire<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All students participating in concerts, competitions, festivals or showcases will be required to pay a <strong>Costume Hire Fee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Costume hire fees must be paid in full by the due date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No costume hire paid = no costume issued = no participation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All costumes remain the property of Battu Bris\u00e9 and are hired to students for performance use only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All hired costumes must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>returned on time,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clean,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complete,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and in good condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any damage to costumes, missing items, or lost accessories will result in additional charges being added to the student\u2019s account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes (but is not limited to):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and garment bags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">headpieces,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">gloves,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">belts,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">tights,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">props,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">hair accessories,<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-10 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>4. <strong><em>Dancewear, Stockings &amp; Shoes<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are responsible for arriving with the correct required dancewear, stockings and shoes for rehearsals and performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a student arrives without the correct stockings or ballet shoes, Battu Bris\u00e9 may lend studio items where available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These items will be charged separately in addition to costume hire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any borrowed studio items must be returned in good condition. Damaged, lost or unusable items must be replaced in full at the student\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-11 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>5. <strong><em>Hair &amp; Make-Up<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are responsible for arriving performance-ready with the correct hair and make-up unless prior arrangements have been made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>Hair &amp; Make-Up Assistance Fee<\/strong> will apply should Haleigh van Rooyen be requested to assist with hair and\/or make-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fee covers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>preparation time,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>products,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tools,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and restocking costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hair and make-up assistance must be booked in advance via the official booking form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No last-minute bookings will be accommodated.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-12 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>6. <strong><em>Communication of Participation \/ Non-Participation<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a student does not wish to participate in concerts, competitions, festivals, showcases or examinations, written notice must be submitted by the stated deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice must be submitted <strong>in writing via email only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No WhatsApp, SMS, verbal messages or messages via other parents will be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Failure to decline participation in writing by the stated deadline will be treated as commitment to participate, and applicable costume and preparation fees may still be charged.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-13 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>7. <strong><em>Attendance Requirement<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Festivals, competitions and concerts require commitment, discipline and consistent attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Missed classes do not only affect the absent student \u2014 they delay group progress, impact formations, disrupt spacing, affect choreography, and hold back the progress of the entire team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of this, consistent attendance is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students participating in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>concerts,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>festivals,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>competitions,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>showcases,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and examinations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">must maintain strong attendance and attend all required rehearsals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minimum attendance requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Year-End Concerts:<\/strong> minimum <strong>85% attendance<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Festivals \/ Competitions \/ Showcases:<\/strong> minimum <strong>80% attendance<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stage Rehearsals \/ Dress Rehearsals:<\/strong> compulsory attendance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeated absence, chronic lateness, or failure to attend rehearsals may result in immediate withdrawal from participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All fees remain payable regardless of withdrawal due to non-attendance.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-14 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>8. <strong><em>Stage Rehearsals &amp; Dress Rehearsals<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stage rehearsals and dress rehearsals are compulsory and non-negotiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These rehearsals are essential for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>spacing,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical cues,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stage orientation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>confidence,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>costume preparation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and dancer safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Late arrival or absence from a stage rehearsal or dress rehearsal may result in <strong>immediate withdrawal<\/strong> from the performance, competition or festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No exceptions will be made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This policy is in place for the safety of all dancers and the integrity of the performance.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-15 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>9. <strong><em>Right of Withdrawal<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haleigh van Rooyen reserves the right to withdraw any student from participation in concerts, festivals, competitions, showcases or examinations where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>insufficient attendance,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repeated lateness,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>missed rehearsals,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>disruptive behaviour,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure to learn choreography,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure to meet rehearsal expectations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>unpaid accounts,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>failure to comply with costume, grooming or performance requirements,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or conduct that negatively affects the group, performance standard or studio reputation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All costs incurred up to the point of withdrawal remain payable in full.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-16 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>10. Group Placement &amp; Casting<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Placement of students into solos, duets, trios, quartets, groups and examination entries is at the sole discretion of Haleigh van Rooyen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Casting decisions are based on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>attendance,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>commitment,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ability,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>readiness,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical standard,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maturity,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and performance suitability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All casting and group placement decisions are final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No changes, substitutions or requests will be accommodated.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-17 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>11. Additional Rehearsals &amp; Extra Lessons<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional rehearsals, stage practices, private lessons and extra coaching sessions may be added to the schedule during examination, competition, festival and concert preparation periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These classes are compulsory where scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional fees will be invoiced separately for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and concert preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">extra rehearsals,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">private coaching,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">examination preparation,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">festival preparation,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">competition preparation<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-18 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>12. Choreography Protection<\/em><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All choreography remains the intellectual property of Battu Bris\u00e9 and Haleigh van Rooyen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under no circumstances may choreography be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>altered,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>simplified,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reworked,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>taught externally,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or changed by a student, parent, guardian, or outside teacher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any unauthorised choreography changes may result in immediate withdrawal and disqualification from representing Battu Bris\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-19 is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><em>13.
