Examination Information, Costing & Comms
• There are additional fees when it comes to examinations. Such as the entry fee, costume hire, purchasing of Character shoes for RAD Grade 1 – RAD Grade 5.
• A full cost breakdown can be found below for 2024 – please note the fees are not set by the studio they are set by the Royal Academy of Dance and have a 10% increase annually.

• An 85% – 100% attendance is required.
• NO ENTRY FEE – NO exam. Entry fees as broken down above need to be paid upfront, the studio WILL NOT cover any students exam entry fees. If the fees are not given in by a certain date your child WILL NOT participate in the examination.
• Haleigh van Rooyen has full authority to withdraw any candidate who fails to attend 80% of the rehearsal when preparing for Exams
• There are 2 exam sessions a year (March, June /July and September to November)
• Exam candidates are soloist, duets, trios and quartets.
• Candidates will be entered in for an examination or a class award
• Examination groups are chosen by Haleigh van Rooyen and no changes will be made.
• Examination are done through the Royal Academy of Dance and done internally.
• The dates given for the exams or class awards are determined by the Royal Academy of Dance Board and NOT the studio
• ALL Communication for examinations is done via BAND and WHATSAPP PAGE ONLY
